Climate Action Team

We are volunteers engaging the Linden Hills Co-op community in action on climate change

About Linden Hills Co-op's Climate Action Team

The Climate Action Team was formed in February 2015 by a dedicated group of co-op owners inspired to educate the Linden Hills Co-op community about climate change. The volunteers pitched their idea to the co-op's board of directors and the Linden Hills Co-op Climate Action Team became official!

Each April, the Climate Action Team hosts “30 Days of Climate Action” at the co-op, a month long initiative inspiring shoppers to do their part to support a healthy climate. In the past, events at the co-op included an Alternative Transportation Day where CAT brought in an assortment of electric cars and bike-powered contraptions and a pollinator day where local master gardeners were talking about pollinator health and sampling honey. In addition to events at LHC, CAT partnered with several other climate action groups throughout the Twin Cities to host Climate-centered educational events.

The Climate Action Team is always looking for ways to educate shoppers, so stay on the lookout for more ways to save energy, reduce your carbon footprint, connect with your community, and take action toward a cooler climate!
