CAT's 30 Days of Climate Action
Linden Hills Co-op’s Climate Action Team was formed in February 2015 by a group of dedicated co-op members committed to inspiring the Linden Hills Co-op community to engage in climate solutions.
This April, Linden Hills Co-op’s Climate Action Team is hosting their second annual 30 Days of Climate Action. The Climate Action Team (CAT) is a group of dedicated co-op members committed to inspiring co-op shoppers to engage in climate solutions. Throughout April, CAT will be hosting a variety of educational opportunities and fun events to inspire shoppers to get involved.
30 Days of Biking Kick-off Breakfast, Friday, April 1st, 8-9 am
Come to the co-op to sign up for 30 Days of Biking with the CAT team, sample coffee and get a coupon for a few dollars off your breakfast!
Multi-modal Transportation Night, Thursday, April 21st, 5-8 pm
The CAT team will be on the patio and in the parking lot with electric cars, creative bike paneers and trailers, and Transit for Livable Communities to talk about more sustainable ways to travel around town!
Earth Day Education at Linden Hills Park, Friday, April 22nd, 6-9 pm
CAT will be at Linden Hills Park (in the multi-purpose room) talking about a variety of ways to take action for a healthier climate. Attendees will hear from Community Solar and several other local environmental groups.
Sustainable Gardening for Pollinators, Saturday, April 23rd, 11 am-2 pm
The Climate Action Team will be on the patio to chat with master gardeners, learn how to grow pollinator safe plants, sample local honey and more. We’re encouraging everyone to bike, walk or bus to this event!
30 Days of Biking Celebration, Saturday, April 30th, 11am -1 pm
Bikers Unite! Come celebrate the month of biking! We’ll be doing drawings for great bike prizes!
The CAT team invites you to bike, walk, or bus to the co-op all month long! Every time you let your cashier know that you’ve biked, walked or bused there, you’ll receive a sticker to put on our community board. Throughout the month, we’ll watch as the community board fills up with multi-modal shopping trips!
Enter your name in the drawing to win bike prizes from a local bike shop. Prizes will be awarded at the 30 days of Biking Celebration on April 30th.
