DIY Natural Egg Dyeing
Skip out on the chemicals and unknowns in most of your typical egg dyeing kits this year, and dye your eggs with the natural color pigments found in a variety of different readily available plants!
Basics of natural egg dyeing
•One quart water
•2 tbsp white vinegar
Boil with dye agent, simmer for 30 minutes, let cool, then strain.
Soak your eggs in each dye for the suggested times. The longer you let your eggs soak, the deeper and more vibrant your eggs will turn out, shorter soak times will give you colors that are more pastel. Different combinations of plants and soak times will produce different colors, so feel free to experiment and come up with your own unique colors and eggs!
