We Love Our Community!

Linden Hills Co-op was founded on the importance of good food and a strong love for community. For the past 40 years, the co-op has been building community through our relationships with local farmers and vendors, our giving program, fundraisers for local food shelves, co-op events and more. During the month of February, we'll be celebrating our love!

Twin Cities Vendor Spotlights

At the co-op, we carry a variety of products that are made by your neighbors. Several of products we carry are made by members of the co-op.

A few Linden Hills local vendors:

 • Deanne's Kombucha
 • Gustola Granola
 • Tula's CocoKefir

Our Twin Cities vendors will be easy to find this February with our "We love our Twin Cities vendors" shelf tags.

Register Round Up for Wirth Co-op

Throughout February, you'll have the opportunity to show your community support by rounding up at the registers for Wirth Co-op. Rounding up to whole dollar amounts is an easy way to support your community. Every little bit counts!

Wirth Cooperative Grocery began in 2007 as a small group of neighbors in North Minneapolis with a strong desire to open a food co-op in their neighborhood. They realized the need for accessible food, an economic boost, and a new community business to liven up the neighborhood.

Wirth Co-op has plans to open their doors later this year but needs help with the last phase of their fundraising. Please visit their website or pick up a brochure in our store to learn more.

Watch as the donations add up throughout the month here or on our community board tracker in store.

Community Coloring Contest for Kids!

What does your community look like?

We're asking the kids of the co-op to draw us a picture of their community. We'll put those pictures on display near the front of the store so that we all can admire them during February. On March 1st, co-op staff will pick three winners to receive a prize.

Kids can pick up their coloring sheets starting February 6th at the info station by the customer comments. Or you can print one off right here. Remember to turn it in by the end of February!

Our Community Giving Program is something to celebrate!

Linden Hills Co-op provides healthy snacks for 150 preschoolers at Aleph Preschool in St Louis Park every school day!

This January, the co-op was able to donate $1,510 to Edina community organization Cool Planet through our customers' donated green patches.

This year, the co-op will donate over $40,000 to local community organizations!

Since July, over $4,000 has been donated through our new grant program. The co-op has issued grants to Women's Environmental Institute, Gardening Matters, Appetite for Change, and Youth Farm.

Through sponsorship of Midwest Food Connection, the co-op helped bring lessons about healthy eating and sustainable farming to1,119 elementary school students in Linden Hills neighborhoods last school year.
