Join us for a night of local food and celebration! We will again be hosting a community food fair with many local food and beverage vendors and several community organizations. You’ll have the opportunity to fill your plate with tastes from our favorite local producers while enjoying the company of fellow co-op members. Our deli will prepare appetizers, cut cheeses, and desserts and we’ll be serving wine. Stay for a presentation from LHC’s Board President and Interim General Manager and keynote speech from Midwest Food Connection.

Come cast your vote for the proposed consolidation, our new board directors and recipients of the Seedling Fund! Election results for the Board of Directors and Seedling Fund will be announced at the end of the meeting.

Keynote Speaker

Uli Koester, the Executive Director of Midwest Food Connection will be speaking about the important work that Midwest Food Connection has done in our neighborhood schools for the past 20 years. 

Midwest Food Connection (MFC) sends educators into elementary school classrooms to teach local school children about healthy eating, local foods and sustainable and organic agriculture. Their lessons range from preparing foods with the children to talking about ethnic and indigineous foods to teaching children how to grow vegetables at home. Over the course of a year, Midwest Food Connections teaches over 1,700 lessons in local schools.
