Featherstone Farm

Featherstone Farm is dedicated to placing good regional food at the center of a vital rural-urban community of people.

At the co-op, Featherstone is famous for their delicious fall carrots that often supply our local food-loving customers through February. Featherstone Farm is a 250-acre organic vegetable farm in Rushford, MN, dedicated to building soil, protecting resources, creating renewable energy and enhancing the rural environment in which it operates. Their farm supplies local produce for many Twin Cities co-ops throughout the growing season in addition to offerering summer, fall and winter CSAs. Throughout the summer season, you’ll find delicious Featherstone Farm vegetables in our produce department. Look for their kale, cucumbers, sweet corn, broccoli, melons, carrots and more!

In late 2016, Featherstone farm led a recovery and renewal campaign to save their farm after an extremely difficult growing season. Throughout late fall and into the month of November, the farm’s very survival was in doubt.

Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our customers and community, Featherstone Farm raised enough money to continue growing delicious oganic produce for years to come. The Linden Hills Co-op community alone raised over $1,600 through register round ups in November and December.

A quote from Jack, Featherstone Farmer:

"I cannot begin to describe how thankful all of us at Featherstone Farm are, for this outpouring of support. So many people contributed on line or in person; so many more stopped me or Jenni or others at the farm in day-to-day life to express concern and care. For all of this, we express heartfelt gratitude. Thank you."
