Living the Dream Duck Eggs

Living the Dream Farm is a 39 acre farm tucked away in western Wisconsin. Farmer Khaiti Hallstein began raising pasture raised ducks in 2008.

Her ducks go out on the pasture every day, even in the snow. Farmer Khaiti works with a local mill to create a custom feed mix that is nutritionally balanced for ducks. Ducks remain with the flock for their entire lives.

Duck eggs are more nutritious than chicken eggs because they have more Omega-3 fatty acids. Due to their thicker shells, they stay fresher longer and often result in fluffier baked goods. Often people who cannot eat chicken eggs due to allergies can often eat duck eggs.

In September, LTD Farm released a short documetary about their farm and their journey. Learn more about LTD farm on their website
